Hotel bonito y tranquilo
Es un hotel que queda relativamente cerca a la ciudad de Chicago y al aeropuerto. En sus alrededores hay restaurantes y si tienes carro en 20 minutos se llega a un muy buen outlet cerca del aeropuerto que se llama Fashion oulets. Es limpio, se descansa muy bien, tiene amplio parqueo, y el restaurante del primer piso sirve buenos desayunos para arrancar bien el día.
Wonderful stay! Highly recommend
We wanted a quiet weekend away and never stayed here so we thought we would give it a try. Samantha helped us prepare for our stay before our arrival, patiently answering all of my questions and setting up the reservation. So thankful to her for being so pleasant and helpful. Management take note - everyone should be like her! The hotel was very clean and modern. Our room was lovely and we had a nice high view of the area. The bed was amazing, I can’t remember when I had such a sound sleep and also woke up so refreshed, heavenly bed indeed! The gym was great. It is Covid safe but agree that the Peloton bike needs a tune up. Everything else worked well. No Starbucks barista but a lot of amenities nearby. So pleased with this stay. Definitely plan to return soon. Still thinking about that amazing bed!
Namesake Westin
The hotel itself is fine but rooms are in bad shape. We checked in around mid night and had to change the rooms twice because both rooms had black stuff in the bathtub. We finally were upgraded and given a free coffee to make up for the issues. But even that room had bad shower. It made a loud noise anytime shower was turned on in our room or the rooms in the vicinity. They offer peloton bike in the gym but the bike is in bad shape. Seat falls, handle loose and screen has a lag.
A Special Hotel Always...Especially During the Pandemic
A Westin is a Westin, right? And I can always count on The Westin Chicago North Shore to meet or exceed brand standards. Now, if health and wellness are at the top of your travel criteria, The Westin Chicago North Shore is the example of how this must be done. Hotel associates from the top down – General Manager Tim Ohrn and Front Office Manager Charlie Lowry – are truly caring and concerned, both toward guests and one another. Cleanliness, sanitation and physical distancing protocols are in place and practiced. All without sacrificing what we’ve come to expect from the Westin brand.
Pretty average place
I was quite disappointed in the Westin, having previously stayed in the Hyatt which is fairly close. Rooms were ok, but the aircon was noisy and the carpet and decor a bit tired. The bathroom was quite small, and the over shower bath wasn't great, for heat or wetness! Check in was really poor, with no welcome, overview of facilities, to the point I even had to ask where the rooms were... Breakfast is really limited in choice, no cereals!!!! I'm here because I have to be, I think I'll book elsewhere next time.
