I’ll try to be objective here. Starting with the negative. This resort is suited more for retirement age couples and the activities are as well. That’s not necessarily a bad thing depending on what you want. Both beds were perhaps the most uncomfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. They were very hard and lumpy on one side and sank into a very deep hole on the other. Because of this my wife and I had to use separate rooms for the week. The grounds staff were blowing leaves at 7 am each day and this would last for hours. The housekeeping staff were vacuuming the hallway at 10pm. Now for the good. The rooms are the most spacious I’ve ever stayed in. The resort is located very close to many attractions. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating with a special shout out to the ones at the front counter. The grounds are well kept and the architecture fits nicely with the colonial area.
Relaxing and Elegant

Staying with family at a two-bedroom villa was wonderful, especially with a third-floor view of the stunning trees and gold course. This was my first overnight getaway since the beginning of the pandemic, and I was so impressed by the clean, elegant rooms and wonderful staff (the front desk and cleaning staff are welcoming and meticulous.) I can’t wait to plan another getaway here! Easy driving distance to Colonial Williamsburg, Merchant Square, and Jamestown. Since I have celiac and follow a strict gluten-free diet, I also love having a kitchen and a short car-ride to grocery stores like The Fresh Market and Trader Joe’s.
One of the nicest hotels in this area

Though many of the hotels in this area are along Richmond Road, this golf resort is a short 15 minute drive from Colonial Williamsburg. The hotel is fronted by a beautiful residential neighborhood, and the rooms are spread out among several buildings, which keeps the noise level at a minimum. The hotel grounds are meticulous. Besides the golf course, the hotel has a very nice swimming pool and several sports courts. Since Marriott rates tend to be higher, we hold Marriott to a higher standard, and we thought the room could use an update. The furnishings are comfortable and nicely designed, though some of the furniture looked a little worn. If we are in the Williamsburg area again, we would definitely consider staying at this hotel.

We arrived a day early for our vacation and they were happy to accommodate us. We checked in and went to our condo and it was very nice. We had a couple issues and one involved maintenance. Michael was sent to our room to fix the problem and what a pleasant surprise he was. He was very professional, outgoing and friendly. This young man will go out of his way to provide for guests. Our issues was fixed through Michael and Ron, the front desk manager. What could have been a bad vacation was quickly turned around by these two men. Thank you Marriot for exceeding in customer service like you always do. This is why we always stay with you!
Perfect Place to Stay

Just checked out. A perfect stay! We were here for five nights in a one bedroom villa. It was a wonderful spot for my husband and I while visiting Williamsburg, Yorktown, and Jamestown. The room was as clean as they come! Everything was well maintained and worked well. About 15 -20 minutes from Williamsburg. The room is huge and everything is well placed to make your stay easy. A good sized kitchen, with everything you need if you want to cook. We didn't, but it was great for breakfast and snacks. The TV was great for football and the sitting area was large and comfortable. The bedroom is good sized and has a very comfy bed. The bathroom situation is awesome! A huge jetted tub, large shower and TWO separate sinks!! One in the bathroom and one outside near the tub. The screened in balcony was large, bug free, clean and peaceful. It would be good for a family too. We loved it!! We would come back again and highly recommend!!
