Chris @ CAESARS did not disappoint!

We haven’t been to a caesars property since before the pandemic. We booked last minute and were hoping for a king , and settled for the only room available which was a double Queen room. Upon late arrival, Chris at the front desk advised that that was the only room available however it came with an incredible view. When we opened our door, imagine our surprise when we discovered it was a suite with a living room and corner view of the Detroit skyline. We have enjoyed many rooms here but not one quite this spacious. Kudos to caesars Windsor and Chris for an amazing “welcome back” We hope to return soon!
Stay anywhere else, not here!!

Terrible terrible terrible. Have stayed there several times. This past weekend was far from up to standard. No service of any kind. No alcohol allowed in rooms, no room service, restaurant closures, and worst of all, long black hairs on the supposedly-cleaned bathroom floor. Made us wonder what else in the room was neglected. Room had a bed, a tv, one chair, and that’s it. Looked as if somebody came through and de-furnished it. The cleaning staff supervisor did come to investigate and was very sympathetic, but had no power to make things right other than sending someone up to clean properly, which she did, and we were grateful. Hotel offered a measly 20 buck gaming credit as compensation. Upped that to 40 bucks when we said “you gotta be kidding”, then promised to credit our bill, then failed to do so because “..they couldn’t find our reservation”. For $500 bucks a night, we expected way way better service and accommodation. Will not be staying there again. Have had better rooms at a motel 6. Disgraceful way to run what is supposed to be a premium hotel in Windsor.

I was told tours and events were happening before I got to Caesar’s Windsor but there was nothing available per the tour desk. Front desk staff were very nice with the exception of the manager as I asked for a smoking room even though one was available I was told. This meant I had to get dress and either for down to the casino to smoke or walk to the only two exits to outside that was available during my
stay. Made my trip very uncomfortable beautiful hotel but go when it is open fully to really enjoy. The manager indifference made me want to return home ASAP.
4+ stars for Hotel, Rooms and Resort Staff - Still not quite ready for primetime

The staff at Caesars Windsor are hard to beat. Always friendly and helpful. The Resort just isn't the same but I guess that's to be expected. Johnny Rockets is great for burgers and fries but terrible for breakfast. Terrible eggs. Oversized ready-mixed pancakes with deep fried potato puffs and under-cooked sausages. They charge double player points as they do not belong to the resort. That didn't sit well with me. For whatever reason that has to be questioned Caesars converted the only true breakfast restaurant that we always loved into a cafe with pre-made food they warm up. Don't like the set-up at all. Felt as if the experience at the Cafe was beneath the high standards Caesars Windsor always seemed to aspire towards.
Hotel Rooms are almost 5 star. If they moved the bathroom door over 2 feet towards the tubs they could extend the tiny showers. They installed new shower heads with really poor water pressure.
Staff throughout the resort are all 5 star
Now for the bad news. Although the casino layout is fantastic and the variety of slot machines is excellent they simply do not offer players a fighting chance to be entertained. Far too much take and little give. Played over 50 slot machines last night. Only 3 of them gave a bonus. 2 of those bonus's were barely higher than my bet. No bonus or spin over $50 with average $1.50 bet on penny machines. Making matters worse there are no free play offers, or shows or comped meals at this time to at least make up for the poor payouts. Aside from the mistake converting the only breakfast restaurant into a cheap food-court with pre-made food options the payout %'s have to increase or the resort will never fully recover their loyal patrons. I walked for hours, checked machines everywhere and saw zero winners. That's not a way to entice avid players.

Top Take-Away: Really poor internet in-rooms, otherwise would be 5 out of 5.
We stayed at Caesars Windsor for 2 nights August 31/September 1. We were nervous about going, it being our first overnight trip in a hotel for 20 months. Leka took good care of us at the front desk. Only the Augustus Tower is open, so you have to walk through the 2 gaming floors to get to the restaurants…..a bit of a hike. The entire place is really clean, with good air circulation. You’ll need to sign a card with name and phone number when entering the gaming floor. You’ll get a coloured bracelet for each day……just show it for all entries that day. Next day, sign another card, get a different coloured bracelet. So easy. Also, your photo is taken each time you enter the gaming area. Drop your mask, photo is taken, bring mask back up. Masks are required everywhere outside of your hotel room. And yet some people complained about doing this.
The slots were the slots. Giving and taking as they always do. Good fun though and our room was comped, so there’s that.
Restaurant service is limited. We used Cafe 377 twice and really liked it. Order and pay at the counter, grab your food and either take it to one of the many spaced tables or up to your room. Tasted fresh and good. Used Tim Hortons in the morning……only one employee there from 7am-9am (busiest time of the day?) so lineups and lots of waiting. I felt sorry for that lone employee with an impossible workload. More staff at Tim’s please? Neros is open too. Spago soon, as well as Legends. Now, let’s get the fitness center, pool and spa open.
Our room was just fine. Clean. Fresh. 23rd floor with great river view. Downside? Flaky wi-fi. A 4-year-old iPad could not connect at all after many attempts. A new iPad was able to finally connect after much finger-tapping. But sooooo sloooow! 2-4 mbps at best. Finally gave up on hotel wi-fi and used the hotspot on my cellphone. If you want to stream some video, good luck. There’s a different wifi network on the gaming floors, which seems to work OK (still slow) and does not require a password.
Self-parking remains free, is easy to use and spacious, clean and well-lit.
Finally, all of the staff were really pleasant and professional. Caesars Windsor has always been that way, but now it’s even more remarkable. They’re glad to be back. We’re glad to be back.
