Great Staff
once again I stayed at the Rose & Crown and once again the staff work so hard to make one feel very welcome and as always I leave feeling that my stay there was an enjoyable one , hoping to book 4 or 5 rooms in the near future for 12 months time
Lovely October break
Stayed one night at the Rose & Crown last week. Nice friendly welcome and service from Tom and the team. Beautiful bedroom, heating not working but soon rectified by Tom setting up a electric radiator whilst we had dinner. Dinner was ok, but once again found the menu very limited and so similar to our previous evenings menus at the Masons Arms, very uninspiring! I cannot understand whilst other pubs and restaurants we visit offer full menus that St Austell Brewerys talented chefs are not offering more variety.
Great place for dinner and an overnight stay
Really nice pub and rooms in a quiet Devonshire village. The room was large, clean and comfortable and even had a lovely roll top bath. On the night we stayed there was a power cut in the area which was of course no fault of the pub. However the manager was really apologetic and gave us a free pint for the trouble which was a nice touch. Really friendly staff and a delicious fish and chips dinner too!
Lovely Country Inn for short stay
Stayed here for 2 nights during our recent staycation. Very friendly and helpful staff and couldn't fault the service. Room was very clean and wi-fi was excellent. We were at front of the building therefore road noise was a slight issue. Food was great especially the evening menu even although it was limited. Would stay again if in the area.
Short break
Stayed for 4 nights and had a really lovely stay. Staff were all very friendly and the covid safety measures were in place and adhered to. Our room was clean and comfortable although a little noisey due to road noise but this wouldnt stop us going back. Breakfast choices were good and staff were happy to let you tweak things to your liking. We had a lovely stay and would definitely look to stay here again on our next visit to devon
