5 star prices - 3 star hotel

Reviewed 23 september, 2022

Property is in dire need of maintenance attention. We had a child with us and although we had booked a room for a family of 3, meaning that the child did also have a right for a cot to sleep in, we were asked for a payment of Euro 10 per night for the cot, during checkout with the receptionist's only answer being that his manager decided so. There are much better accommodation to stay in nearby. We will revisit Sicily but not this hotel.

Welcoming Hotel - Spacious Rooms - Great Dinners

Reviewed 8 october, 2017

I was on a package holiday with a group of walkers, firstly the staff were welcoming and the service was excellent. My room was very spacious with a safe you did not have to pay for and a small fridge, the bathroom was clean and with a decent shower. The evening meals were in La Corte Brasserie below the hotel, which is fine, but it meant wearing trainers each night to walk down. The food in the restaurant was delicious and there was so much of it! As a Vegetarian the staff fully understood - this meant no meat or fish on my plate - what a relief. If you want to use the Spa for a couple of hours then there is a charge for this, but the outdoor pool is free. Only comment really is the Continental Breakfast, with sweet croissants and fairly uninteresting bread, and with cheese that was snuggled up to the cold meats. A bit of improvement here would be welcome. All said, in my opinion, this hotel is well worth a visit.

Good but could be much better

We stayed at the hotel on a package tour. Our room was comfortable but not well equipped for a 4 star hotel it had a fridge but no tea or coffee making facilities. Dinner was very good and plentiful but breakfast was basic and the same every day. Cleaning of the room was minimal with bathrooms left virtually untouched and 20 euros to use the indoor pool and sauna was a rip off. In summary it could have been so much better.

Wonderful food and welcoming staff

the hotel is on the edge of Zafferano and is the best hotel in town. There are wonderful views. The beds are comfortable and the site was peaceful and clean . Dario on reception could not have been more charming and helpful.

A few things in need of improvement

Reviewed 5 june, 2017

First impressions were good, but after staying a week, you begin to notice the dusty floors, corridors and banisters, the scuffs on the wall. The shower gel not replaced, the basic breakfast with fermenting juice, lack of fresh fruit and stale bread, the uncleared tables. I was on a package holiday with a group of walkers on a half board basis, our evening meals were basic, and rather strange, not only in description on the menu but also in what we were given- such as only fish on two evenings, all meat on others with no fish, very poor selection for vegetarians. I objected to paying extra to use the pool when being a resident for the week - all these little things do add up. However, staff friendly and helpful, gardens well maintained and hotel generally quiet
