Worst customer service ever!!!!

I booked a stay with them via on a non-refundable rate back in October 2019 for September this year. Due to the COVID19 situation and the Australian government's decision to ban all international travel indefinitely, we had to change our travel plans. I asked them to help change the dates of travel to September 2021 free of charge as this change is outside our control. Not only did their customer service team decline that request, they instead told us to pay an extra AU$ 250 charge for this change . I have never seen such heartless, pathetic and horrible customer service. I have since decided to ask for a refund due to forced circumstances and legal laws about not being able to travel due to government restrictions. Despite trying to sort this out since April this year with them, I'm currently still fighting to try and get this situation resolved. I have been left so frustrated, irritated and annoyed by my experience here that now I'll not stay with this property even if they offer me a free date change. I have seen dogs have more compassion and understanding than these people. Absolute disgrace to Switzerland and their tourism industry!!


Extremely poor customer service

Extremely disappointed is an understatement. We reside in Australia. We had booked our accomodation in oct 2019 for sept 2020. However due to the pandemic we requested them to change our booking to sept 2021 for the same price paid as it wasnt something that was controlled by us and we did not even ask for a refund. The service was so poor and they were not at all understanding in any way even though all our borders are closed and flights were cancelled and travel insurance wouldnt cover us either but still they refused even though several attempts were made. My partner also works in the travel industry and every other hotel and tour operator for our trip was accomodating and moved the dates. If we provided our clients here with such poor customer service, we would have long been out of work. Every place we know is offering to refund or move dates but this hotel refused and instead asked for additional payments to move the dates. That payment was pretty much double of our original booking. We had to get involved in this but the issue is still unresolved. We will definitely be going ahead with our trip when things improve. However WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to anyone due to such poor service and we will make our booking for a different place.


Not for families- limited service and dodgy area

We are a family of 4 staying 3 nights, it didnt met our expectations, price was lower than Zurich average, so service was accordingly. - check in: we got the keys easily from the safe box as reception time is limited. we never get the chance to see them. You get an extra key for the safe and the wifi is good - the room was smaller than expected and the sofabed was not made into a bed, We had to make it ourselves - the toilet was small but clean, although the soap holder was falling a little water was running out of the shower. - we didnt cook at all but when making our final review of the room we opened the dishwasher to find some dirty cups from prior guests, this was disgusting. - floor below the bed was super dirty as well, some toy fell down and we had to dig into it . - tv was not working at all , we called to request fixing and they said they will call me back but they never did and tv never worked - we stayed here during summer so room was quite hot, there were some fans on the floor to compensate but it was very noisy - area is dodgy, on our way to central station we saw a couple of guys getting high, police arresting a guy for drugs and several hookers looking for customers, it raised a lot of questions on my 6 year old - we put the “clean my room “ tag each day but aside from taking out the trash and changing the towels ( which were hanged properly and didnt had to be changed ) nothing was done So if you want a room just to sleepover this is a good choice, do not expect more.

Worst listing ever!!

Definitely the worst listing with selfish management I have ever encountered - this is unacceptable for someone in the hotel/tourism industry. My family & I were stranded in Austria after they announced suspension of trains to Switzerland from 15 Mar onward, and at the same time, Switzerland had also announced major closure of their attractions to combat Covid-19. As such, we were unable to proceed our plan for Switzerland and I had asked a refund from Inside Five. In fact, unfortunately my friend and I were tested positive for Covid-19 after arriving our home country, and I had explained to Inside Five of our disadvantaged situation, and that we won't be travelling to Switzerland anytime soon this year. However, they were not compassionate at all, and were unwilling to give us a full refund despite offering free cancellation in view of their extenuating circumstances policy. From my understanding with, I had already cancelled this booking and will get my refund back, but am confused why Inside Five still replied that they are unable to give a full refund. I do understanding they have to do business as well, but at times like this, it showed how they truly treated their customers. Reply received from Inside Five below: 'We think, it's known to you too, that you are not only one, who is suffering from this unwanted situation. All the world is suffering from this situation. We are also not the exceptional part from this Situation. We are also suffering from this situation, as you are suffering. We have already mentioned you due to the big impact on our hotel, we are not able to refund your booking. In this Situation, you can modifiy your booking date with the following conditions. Booking prices will be calculated according to the new requested date of reservation. It will be valid until 31.12.2020. You can calculate through for your new date of reservation. Processing fee CHF 50.00 The guest should pay the difference and processing fees. I think, you can also understand this inconvenient situation and can modify your date. We want to wish you a nice day and hope you will continue to stay in good health.'

One night visit

Stopped over for the night. Modern apartment with little kitchentte. Clean & great location close to the shops. 15min easy walk to Zurich train station. 3 min walk to tram. Staff very friendly. We would stay there again.
