The hotel is located in the northern part of Zurich. I came here this time by the bus and by walk. The restaurant has a wonderful Brunch. The assortment is wonderful. Because the variety of food such as the Oyster and Scallop. The one person that I can not forget to mention. Mr. Robin one of the manager at the restaurant. He always welcome the guests very well. He is one of the most friendliness and hospitality minds. So I can say that with the valuable person like him, Dolder hotel will always categorized as the best of hotels. When in a luxurious hotel kindness, fun and professionalism meets, that is unique. That is The Dolder. Not to mention the special art collection on view, the amazing location above the city and the fantastic spa. Rooms are comfortable and beautiful, restaurants and the lobby bar offer different atmosphere and staff members are all helpful and attentive.
Fabulous stay in the Zurich mountains

Stayed at the Dolder Grand for over a week in July and it was an absolutely MARVELOUS experience. This hotel is both luxurious and comfortable—all in a super classy way. But beyond the luxury and comfort of the facilities and grounds (which are outstanding), the MOST important and praiseworthy aspect of the hotel is the quality of the personnel, from top to bottom. The friendly and professional concierge team always went above and beyond! Not a request too small—from dinner and spa reservations to information about the city, even to assistance with last minute changes in airline tickets and mailing my swim suit forgotten at the hotel!!! I am deeply grateful to Markus, Luca, Georg and Amar for all of their dedicated efforts, who made our vacation so super pleasant. The front desk personnel were always there to help; the restaurant waiters, spa personnel and housekeeping team were all super polite and helpful. Now for some details about the hotel itself. Where do I begin? The hotel concierge team sent a car to the airport to pick me up and the check in was smooth. The room was fabulous—a spacious suite in the spa wing with a terrific mountain view and a view of the city of Zurich. Lovely balcony to sit and sip wine with friends. The room was cleaned once a day (more when requested); turndown service in the evening—with Swiss chocolates placed on the bed. The hotel itself is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Such fine paintings, sculptures, and other displays throughout the various buildings. The SPA is outstanding! Wonderful massage treatments, hairdresser, and the POOL. At the pool you can also enjoy the bubbling jacuzzi hot tub and cold-water treatment, both indoors and outdoors. In the changing area there are not only showers but wonderful sauna and steam rooms. Always plenty of towels. It was super clean and comfortable at all times. The RESTAURANTS are fabulous, a story onto themselves. The award winning Saltz restaurant, where you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner is spectacular! The dinner menu in particular is out of this world. I loved the local foods, especially the succulent grilled lamb. At the Saltz restaurant, I must mention the friendly and super-professional maître-d, Robin, who offered superb advice and background on all of the dishes and their local sourcing. When I thanked Robin profusely, he humbly said: “I couldn’t do all of this without my great team.” Absolutely true. It IS a great team. One evening at the Dolder Grand, we enjoyed the 2 Michelin star “RESTAURANT” with renowned chef, Heiko Nieder. It was a spectacular experience. We opted for the tasting menu and were treated to a dazzling array of the most exquisite dishes, paired with lovely wines. Truly a great evening! During my time at the hotel, I also enjoyed the lobby bar and room service, which was of very high quality. The Dolder Grand is outside of the city proper, so it takes about 20-30 minutes to get into town—but that’s quite easy with the hotel shuttle, public transportation, or taxi. The benefit is that you’re also right in the middle of a set of lovely mountain trails, which I hiked almost every day (apart from rainy days), for at least one hour. It was indeed a special treat that the hotel is in such beautiful, serene mountain surroundings. All in all, the Dolder Grand is a true gem!
Better than ever before

The Dolder Grand has always had a special place in my travels. It has become better than ever. Each touch point was inspiring and flawless. As soon as I entered, I knew I was home. Especially the Spa team deserves special praise. Even though it was busy, they made time for a very heartfelt welcome. Breakfast has also improved dramatically. In my opinion, it is the best in town.
