Excellent all round.
Stayed here in February as a result of a sudden family bereavement. The staff were lovely and kind, the breakfast was great, and the rooms clean and very comfy. some nice facilities that given the circumstances we didn't try but looks well appointed. Absolutely no complaints at all and a very good price as well. If visiting the area this is a very good place to stay all round.
Decent hotel
This is a resort hotel with sports facilities - tennis, squash, decent swimming pool. Bar and restaurant are available The hotel was in good fresh decorative state. Standard rooms are quite small, but adequate. Bed was comfortable-enough. Kettles are not provided in standard rooms
Fun in Zutphen
We are touring Holland and had 2 nights at the Fletcher Resort in Zutphen. They have everything and are centrally located. We visited the private war museum in Arnhem and toured the city centre. At the end of the day we came back to the hotel for drinks, dinner and we bowled as well. They have pools, tennis, squash, bowling and a gym. We were very happy with our stay. The staff was all great. Jeroen was so wonderful and helpful. He was working in the bar, dining room and bowling so we had his help both days. He helped make our stay more memorable. Thank you we will be back.
Rooms are too warm!
We came cycling and were looking forward to one night in this hotel. We had booked two doublerooms. They were so warm that it was impossible to get any sleep. No aircondition and only a hand fan that did no good. The sun baked the rooms and the night did not help. I have never experienced anything similar to this and I think the hotel should not let these rooms out. At least we should have had a warning about this. We used wet towels to reduce the heat. I see other reviews have experienced the same - so avoid this hotel in the summer! The saddest part is that it ruined the day after, and we only have six days in this beautiful country.
Uncomfortable
My partner and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. We booked it as a package. There wasn't any air conditioning in the dining room and the bar area even though the temperature on those days was 35. Worst was that our room only had a little table fan. When I mentioned to reception they said that there were air conditioned rooms but none available. When we booked we were not given the option. We have never experienced it before in our world travels. I must say that the food was excellent and staff friendly but not being comfortable took the edge of the stay. It is listed as a four star hotel.
