  • * From April 15–18, during Passover, all food and drink are strictly prohibited on the premises of the Dohány and Rumbach synagogues. * Opening hours may be changed last minute due to services and events * Children under 6 get in for free, no ticket required **How to get there: ** * Metro: M1 (yellow) / M2 (red) / M3 (blue) to Deák tér station, then walk on Károly körút towards Astoria square * Tram: 47, 49 to Astoria station, then walk on Károly körút towards Deák tér * Bus: 7, 78 to Astoria station, then walk on Károly körút towards Deák tér * The Dohány Synagogue is at walking distance from the Danube, from the downtown hotels in Pest and the pedestrian shopping street Váci utca * Please dress appropriately. Men must wear a kippah (available on-site) * Mandatory security check at the entry. No tripods & backpacks larger than hand-luggage * Strollers & cameras allowed * Skip the ticket line and go directly to the security check * After the mandatory security check, show your smartphone ticket at the final entrance to have it scanned Guided tours: * English, Italian, Spanish & French: Every 30 minutes from 10:30 until 1 hour before closing time * German, Russian, Hebrew & Hungarian: Every hour from 10:30 until 1.5 hours before closing time
