- * The elevator of the Dome only takes you to the first balcony. To reach the main Dome, you will have to use the stairs (320 steps) which will take an additional 20 minutes. * The dome of St. Peter's Basilica may not be accessible during poor weather conditions * All guests must undergo airport-style security.
