Description
Pay respects to the tombs of past popes and see the ancient walls of the original basilica. After visiting the crypts, come back up to see the Baldacchino, the Statue of St. Peter, and the Pietà, all with the help of your guide. Finally, take a quick elevator ride up St. Peter's Dome, then climb to the top by stairs for amazing views.

In peak times, you could wait in line for up to 25 minutes to enter * **Mandatory:** Everyone is required to carry a copy of the identification page of their passports on tour * Meet your guide at Largo Del Colonnato. This is the area just outside of the St. Peters Square colonnades, on the right side if you’re looking at St. Peter’s Basilica * You’ll see a representative holding a “The Tour Guy” sign, standing between the fountain and the green kiosk * Please arrive 15 minutes early * To access St. Peter's Basilica, please consider that from June to the end of August there could be long lines and the waiting time could be up to 30 minutes **Important:** The meeting point is outside the Basilica before entering St. Peter's Square and the security checks. Do not go through the metal detectors before meeting your guide * Dress code: Entry into any religious site requires a strict dress code. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for all visitors.
